Description
Grapevine Texas --By Doug Kreuger
My inspiration for creating this artwork is the turn-of-the-century charm and southern hospitality of this historic Texas railroad town.
Grapevine is situated midway between Dallas and Fort Worth, making it a popular weekend getaway destination for folks from all over. An abundance of restaurants, resorts, and activity attractions insure fun-filled family time for everyone.
My personal favorite is Great Wolf Lodge and its enormous indoor waterpark where I spent a weekend with my daughter’s family and 2 of my young grandkids.
Walking the streets of Grapevine is like stepping back in time and experiencing the nostalgia of early 19th century architecture. Informative plaques along the way explain the significance of each historic landmark.

Almost lost you ,Doug, you changed your photo and I did not reconize you in the favorites.I am glad to see you are still making these terrific city scapes. It is amazing how they have evolved. I love Eastern, Texas, especially. Are you going to do a painting on Nacogdoches ,Texas??? Sounds as though you had a great time in Grapevine.I would think city fathers would jump to have these as prints and letterheads. Susan Brown
Doug Kreuger replied:
Many Thanks Susan! I truly appreciate your kindness and support! I am presently working on an artwork for Waco, TX. I have not been to Nacogdoches, I will have to check it out on some future trip. Happy you like this series.
