Description
As the morning sun rises from behind a light veil of clouds, the landscape awakens to a glorious array of beautiful new blossoms, "Morning Glory".
I marvel at the way nature reclaims landscapes left unattended. The new growth of plant vines and tree branches weave their intricate lace as they randomly criss-cross their way over, under and around old obstacles, hiding them from view over time. I find sentimental beauty in the layers of peeled paint, weathered boards and rusted metal, the natural progression of the past assimilating with the present.
The aging "Painted Lady" gracing this scene was architecturally inspired by a home located in historic Frankfort, Illinois, at the corner of Walnut and Oregon streets, atistically embellished as if it were abandoned.

A most lovely and excellent photo of a Ghost house during Daylight - but it is best not to go near, let alone into it - after Midnight...!

I am in awe of your painting ability Doug. This old house crys out to be alive just as the flowers are. L F

Fantastic painting, Doug! Amazing details, light and color! Love the mature landscaping and beauty of nature in contrast to the dilapidated house. Gorgeous composition! L/F

Many thanks, my friend! I like your word choice of "mature" to describe nature's naturalized landscape.
