Dallas Texas Skyline
My inspiration for creating this artwork came from traveling through Dallas on my way to Grapevine, TX and seeing its magnificent skyline from the interstate.
Dallas is the third largest city in Texas and several of its skyscrapers are among the tallest in the Lone Star State. The tallest building is the Bank of America Plaza at 921 feet. It is also the third tallest in Texas. The Renaissance Tower, also known as Reunion Tower, closely follows at 886 feet tall---the second highest observation tower in Texas.
The iconic Texas Star can be seen everywhere you go in Texas, adorning private homes, businesses, bridges and other public facilities.
The rustic-looking boards behind these building drawings are from discarded shipping pallets my son-in-law, Josiah Keske, salvaged to build decorative furnishings around his home.
