Description
"Gift of Christmas"
In this original painting, the artist's grandson, Isaac Isaiah, is depicted as a Christmas Angel contemplating a toy Donkey---Symbolic, since ancient times, of service, suffering, peace and humility.
Therefore, It is no surprise, God chose the lowly Donkey to carry Mary to Bethlehem for the birth of Jesus and carry Jesus into Jerusalem (the story of Palm Sunday) shortly before his death.
