Created as a gift to my Son’s family, for a remembrance of their family’s vacation to France, England and Scotland. Inspired by manhole covers they photographed (at my request) while they were sightseeing around Paris, London and Edinburgh.
Here, I added coloring to these designs to make them more attractive and unique. I am fascinated by the age and durability of these highly functional ironworks.
I often find myself captivated by these weighty, ever present, iron artworks that are frequently stepped upon, yet often totally overlooked.
