"Sturgeon Bay"
Sturgeon Bay and Canal is an important body of water, joining Lake Michigan and Green Bay---while separating the Door County Peninsula from its mainland, Wisconsin.
This vital waterway provides safe shelter and transportation convenience for shipbuilders, sports fishermen, recreational boaters and the US Coast Guard.
Sturgeon Bay, as beautiful as it is practical, is also host for a large number of tourist resorts, restaurants and recreational interests.
Spectacular shoreline views offer artisans an abundance of inspiration for plying their talents.
Therefor, it should not be surprising that Sturgeon Bay, Door County is populated by so many artists, studio shops and art galleries to further your enjoyment of this unique area.

About Doug Kreuger
Doug Kreuger, Landscape Artist Member of Oil Painters of America Doug was born in, Aberdeen, South Dakota, and grew up in Hazel Crest, Illinois. From early childhood, Doug demonstrated a strong interest in drawing, painting, and building things. Throughout his school years, Doug excelled in all his art classes, winning numerous awards and recognition for his artistic abilities. 

Upon graduating from high school, Doug became a student at The American Academy of Art, Chicago, where he studied commercial graphics, life drawing and watercolors. 

Doug's first job as a professional artist was with Unigraf, a company that specialized in designing P.O.P (point-of-purchase) displays and display graphics. Doug left that company...
