"Waco Texas" by Doug Kreuger
My inspiration for creating this artwork is the HGTV Hit Show, Fixer Upper, starring Chip and Joanna Gaines.
As a fan of Fixer Upper, I admire the beauty and fun Chip and Joanna bring to their renovation projects, as well as their marriage, family and business ventures. Inspiration for all of us!
In this artwork you will find my sketches of iconic Waco landmarks depicted on white painted shiplap boards. The ornamental double-ringed Texas Star with Waco logo is intended to be a 3-dimensional wall decor.

Doug Kreuger, Landscape Artist Member of Oil Painters of America Doug was born in, Aberdeen, South Dakota, and grew up in Hazel Crest, Illinois. From early childhood, Doug demonstrated a strong interest in drawing, painting, and building things. Throughout his school years, Doug excelled in all his art classes, winning numerous awards and recognition for his artistic abilities. Upon graduating from high school, Doug became a student at The American Academy of Art, Chicago, where he studied commercial graphics, life drawing and watercolors. Doug's first job as a professional artist was with Unigraf, a company that specialized in designing P.O.P (point-of-purchase) displays and display graphics. Doug left that company...
