Description
When life closes in on us and we begin to feel the pressure of stress taking hold, it's time to escape to ''A Quiet Place''. Found not far away, but within us, is a place where we can go to reflect on life's smaller pleasures.
My inspiration for this painting came from a photo I captured of a close friend during a spontaneous moment. A look of deep concentration on her face told me she was somewhere far away in her thoughts. Later, I found it mildly amusing when she told me her real focus was on some small fish swimming around her feet. Her admission reminded me how small and fleeting big worries become when we are able to simply let them swim away.

Doug---Congratulations on your WFS feature---this piece draws us in also--to her 'world'----and sometimes it is not as complicated as we might guess. Yes---a 'quiet place'--needs to be near by---not far away waiting for us to find the 'time that never seems to come'. Something to think about---
Doug Kreuger replied:
