Description
"October Backroad"
Traditional Oil Painting by Doug Kreuger -- Painted from reference photos captured while traveling on a scenic "Wisconsin Rustic Road" in Lake Geneva, WI -- Fall of 2013.
Autumn is my favorite season; when changing leaves display a kaleidoscope of warm and vibrant colors. Like exploding fireworks, the colors of fall leaves are most brilliant at their peak, then, falling, drying into muted shades of browns and vanishing over time.
While many colorful leaves are swept away by rake and wind, many more leaves amass on the ground, recharging the nutrients needed for future fall fireworks displays.
